Branded a pirate for using Kodi (BBC)

Hi, I don’t know if anyone else read this BBC article but it annoyed me. They mention Kodi as a piracy platform which I know it is not intended to be, quotes below.

“The letters do not include illegal streaming services such as Kodi”

“But many newer forms of consuming content free, such as streaming and cyber-lockers, are not included. Neither is Kodi and other set-top box software that allows users to stream pirated movies, sport and TV programmes.”

I use it for storing legitimate media such as music and online video content such as youtube while getting cool graphics and fan arts generated by the community.

Does anyone else feel like this brands all kodi users as a pirate and goes against everything the kodi team have been recently working towards.

Thanks
