I’ve had this problem for a little while where my library can successfully scan and add new episodes and movies (including adding new series where applicable), but when I look at the listing in any view, I don’t see the HD/SD tags, I don’t see the TV/DVD/BluRay or audio information tags above the description. Sometimes after I watch something, it will finally populate, but for any new content, this information is missing. I just installed Kodi for Android and the library is busily adding things, and all the same content is getting the full “scan” information.
Another thing is that the actor, trailer, and all the other information in “Movie Information” no longer shows up, period. I still get description and thumbnails/poster art, but basically everything else is missing.
My library is a common source using MySQL, and I’m using NFS/SMB as the backend for all the data. Android is using its own internal DB (until I change this in the future), and is having no problems with using the same NFS/SMB data sources.
How can I get Kodi to properly scan all existing and new files? I’m fine with removing the library sources and re-adding, so long as my watched state can be preserved (or at the very least backed up and restored).
