Kodi Libreelec Gui

I am a real noobie with both Kodi Jarvis and Libreelec. I bought the basic Chromebox, installed Libreelec and Kodi but was surprised that I didn’t have that same GUI that I had with Kodi on either my Mac or PC.
I use the Chromebox in my home theater and it is small like a Roku. It has no problem playing Atmos files from my server. It just seems a lot more difficult to navigate.
I expected to see the Kodi GUI with the sliding bar with Pictures, Music, Videos, Programs and System along with their drop down menus. Instead it is more of a page driven navigation.
Comments are welcome. Maybe I need to install a different system on the Chromebox.
