So I started noticed some odd picture color media player, during video playback with DXVA on. I noticed then when I decided to play a video file with windows media player. Colors were better, felsh tones were correct, etc. Basically overall PQ was better.
I messed around with the settings in Kodi and found out that turning DXVA off solved my coloring problem, however this introduced a new problem. Whenever I try to play a video file that is more than your typical 24/25fps kodi would crash when rendering is set to software. I have tried multiple combinations with DVXA off, DXVA 2 on, software on plus dxva, and basically the only scenario where I get the exact same picture I would get with an external media player is with rendering set to software.
Basically the point of this post is I am trying to figure out why DXVA is causing issues with coloring.
