fresh install Kodi V17 Beta 5 and kodi addons refuse to update.

i know i know, go to file manager/profile directory/database and delete the addons file. first of all, its not allowing me to delete the file. deleted addons in roaming/addons too. still nothing seems to work. any suggestions??
