Hopefully this will be nice & simple and I’ve just missed a setting somwhere! I have all my films/tv etc stored on my PC, using Kodi to play them. I have them stored in folders for categories (e.g. Action, Comedy etc), then in individual folders for each film. In Kodi on the PC, I go into Videos, Files, pick the folder, the films show up (folders), when I click on them they play, without showing me the video files inside the folder.
Just bought a Sony TV with Android TV, installed Kodi, added the network shares to stream from the PC, but when I select the film folder I want to play, it then shows me the video files inside rather than just playing to movie. The default action option is set to Play, but I’ve tried Choose and Resume as well, doesnt seem to make any difference. It does seem to affect it if I go into Movies rather than Videos, but this view just shows me all my films, rather than folder specific ones, and I like the control that gives me.
