Xiaomi Mi Box Keymap and Keyboard Control

I hope that I am overlooking something. I can not get the Logitech K400 to work on a new Mi Box as it does not respond. Further, I can not get my keymap that was placed into the Keymap folder of Userdata to work either. The Kodi File Manager shows that it is installed as well as ES File Explorer. I am not having these issues on a Shield TV. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.
