Why does it have to be so difficult?

Hi to All,
I am new to this forum and kodi in general but why don’t things just work? I like to think that I am quite knowledgeable when it comes to Windows but kodi seems to have picked up a few habits from Windows, eg. the BIG FIX. For some Windows fixes this involves booting into Safe Mode, which involves hammering the F8 key at boot up. Why not just Run – msconfig and select Safe Mode from the Boot tab then reboot? No more hammerin’. With kodi it is the cachebuffer fix, none of which I have tried have worked. I would hope my pc is up to the task of running kodi. It has 16gig ram, two gtx970 gfx cards (linked with a one gap Nvidia sli bridge (imported from the US), for those of you who know or care about such things. i also have fibre to cabinet broadband running at 5MBps, that’s 40Mbps in english money, but still kodi cannot play a stream for more than 2 minutes without buffering. When I checked my free memory last I had 11meg!! What’s that all about? With no way seemingly to increase that or help except for the BIG FIX(es)! I will try to get to grips with this software, ‘cos it does have the potential to be great but for me at the moment it is work in progress!
