Hi,
sorry if my topic is just discussed here but my search was without any success.
I have an new AFTV-Box and now i tried to install spmc and kodi. I used spmc 16.5.1, then spmc 16.5.2 and kodi 17 beta6 .
The video playback is working so far, but all versions are not able to play my 1080 HD videos (interlaced). They all are recorded files from DVB-S2 and saved as mkv.
The fireTV stick has no problem to play these files, minix U1 and other android-players play these files well.
The effect on the FireTV2 is that the video will shown with big green disturbances. You can realize the video behind this and hear the audio. The effect starts in the first second of the playback and is not reducing or ending while playing the video.
Progressive videos (bluray 1080p or other recored files in 720p@50Hz) where played well without any problems.
I tried some different video settings (deinterlace) and switched the HW-acceleration on and off. Only when I switch the matching HW-acceleration off the video will be played without disturbances but much to slow….
My next step would be test an older spmc version because koying made some bigger changes since spmc 16.5.0 . (now android 5 at least is needed).
Any other ideas?
Thank you
