On a M8S android TV device, I just updated the Kodi v17 from beta3 to beta6.
I noticed a problem in the audio configuration with the these settings:
– Number of channel: 7.1
– Output configuration: Fixed
– Passthrough: Disabled
Now, by default the “sampling rate” setting is 48kHz.
If the above value is changed to i.e. 44kHz or 88.2kHz, the number of channel is automatically changed to 2.0.
And if I put back the number of channel to 7.1, it doesn’t work! The sound come out only from the front speakers.
The only way to make it work again, is click on “Reset the above settings to default” and no change the “Sampling rate” value.
This behaviour (bug?) has been introduced with the Beta6.
No problem with the Beta 3.
