Kodi won’t scrape movies from NAS, plays fine

I had Kodi working fine, all my movies were identified correctly and played, but then I moved them from a computer to NAS, and now I can get to them through videos-files and they play fine, BUT after I cleaned my database (I did some rearranging in the move), there is no longer a “movies” section in the main menu. I know it is not the files names and not being recognized in the scraper, because those stayed the same. I added the NAS (a USB drive plugged into my RT-AC68u router) as a source in system-file manager. I have tried changing permissions, and even removed the login requirement from my router, no love. Any ideas?? Thanks
