My library consists of DVDs saved in .iso format. Many of my DVDs are multi-disc sets – mainly main movie and an extras disc.
Currently the only way to bring both discs into the library is to add “disc1″(etc) to the end of the file names.
The thing is, in the library there’s no indication that the entry is a multi-disc set, and the only way to view the other discs is to select “options” and then “play part”, which from a usability point of view is not at all satisfactory.
I understand that the multi-file linking is primarily designed to link movie parts together when they’ve had to be ripped as smaller files, which is great, but I would like to propose that Kodi be updated to better deal with my scenario.
I would propose that where a file is a movie file and the extension to the file name is “part1″(etc) then Kodi deals with the display exactly as it does now. But, if the file is an .iso or .mkv and the extension is “disc1″(etc) then the library should display, perhaps with an icon, that there are multiple discs available. In the info screen, there should also be an option to select the disc to play.
Thanks.
