Hi, my DVR is hooked to my router, that’s how I can watch Netflix on the TV even with the PC powered down.
Internet>Router>Ethernet>DVR>TV.
But I want to use Kodi 16.1 on the PC so it’s MyHardDriveStorage>Kodi>Router>Ethernet>DVR>TV.
The techs calls this DLNA, Digital Living Network Alliance, where you can serve out your media to any receptive device.
I have a program called Plex, and the old Windows Media Player, both of which already serve out to my DVR/TV. Both both programs have problems.
Does Kodi do this? How? What setting should be toggled or what plug-in enabled? If the DVR brand matters, it’s a Dish Hopper 3.
