hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked previously, but I couldn’t find the answer.
I have a brand new 4K HDR capable TV and an older AV AMP that doesn’t support 4K HDR. I’m looking to build / buy a PC to be a media player (or I’d buy a standalone player if one existed that can do the following). I have a UHD Bluray player which has 2 HDMI output specifically to get around the issue I have – which is I have to bypass the AMP for the picture but still want to passthru HD audio to my AMP.
So I guess the questions are:
1) Can KODI support this kind of set-up?
2) Would using two graphics card that support HDMI audio work? (one on board and one add-in card?)
3) Any other way to get what I want? (I’m tempted to look at a powered splitter but don’t know if my AMP would accept the signal as it doesn’t support HDMI 2 nor HDCP 2.2
thanks in advance.
