Hi,
I’m new with Kodi etc, and apologise for my ignorance in advance, or if there are already answers to this.
I have a NEXBOX N8, I wasn’t happy with its basic remote, so bought a 2.4GHz Fly Air Mouse Remote Control (not branded, but assume its a AERB or MX3…image below)
When I first set it up, it worked fine, but after a few days, it was non-responsive.
I had a quick browse on the net and found you had to program the remote to IR.
So, what I have tried is:
Method One: REMOTE PROGRAMMING
(Learnt below from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKbsFKMRdoc )
1. Have both remotes facing/pointing at each other about 1-2 inches apart.
2. NEW REMOTE: Hold the TV button (4-5 seconds) until the red light slowly
flashes.
3. OLD REMOTE: Push the POWER button, until the light on the NEW REMOTE
goes solid red.
4. NEW REMOTE: Press the POWER button – Light flashes (I also did same steps using all 4 IR coloured buttons).
5. NEW REMOTE: Press TV button – Light goes off.
Result – My Air Mouse remote turns the NEXBOX on and off, but no other controls work.
Method Two: KEYMAPS FIX
I found a post on this site:
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=203623
Did the fix, placed the .xml files in the keymaps folder.
Result – Same again, my Air Mouse remote turns the NEXBOX on and off, but no other controls work.
Is my remote simply a dud, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help
