X-box one S

Hi guys,
I am still waiting for a shield 2 announcement however, today I saw a X-box one S for almost the same price as the Shield , and after some investigation, I wonder: is it possible and viable to run the Xbox as a windows box for my TV?
I mean, it seems a pretty good deal, 4k Hdr blueray playback, kodi on the windows store and an actual gaming console. I know some of you have one, so has anyone tried this?
