I’ve just changed my iMac for a 2016 MacBook Pro (13”, Touch Bar, 2,9 GHz, 16GB, Sierra 10.12.2) and can’t manage to have the settings ‘Adjust display refresh rate’ and ‘Sync playback to display’ working. When I try to set them as I did on my iMac (‘On start/stop’ and [checked]), the video playback is choppy.
The files I am trying to play are 23.976fps, 24fps and 25fps MKVs, hosted on an external hard-drive.
I’ve tried both with Jarvis and Krypton, with same results.
The mac is plugged with HDMI into an LG 4K TV through a Kensigton USB-C dock. I’ve tried with Apple’s USB-C to HDMI adapter, with same results.
