Hey all, im using the Kypton build of OSMC (new user) and I have an issue with video files with AAC sound in that there is no audio. The Raspberry is connected via HDMI to the TV, which then has a optical cable to my AV AMP. DD and DTS works fine, no issues at all, but for AAC there is simply no sound.
Audio Output Device – PI:HDMI
Number of Channels – 2
Allow Passthrough – Yes
DD receiver- Yes
Transcoding – No (changing to yes does nothing)
Dolby Digital Plus – No
DTS – Yes

I’ve downloaded a few test files from https://archive.org/download/5.1Surround…3MP4DTSWAV none of these give me sound, the 5.1 test file if I switch transcoding on shows as “dolby digital 5.1” on the Amp but no sound still.
The files i’m having issues with played fine on my windows HTPC, albeit via spdif direct into the amp and they also play fine direct into windows on the media player so I know the files definitely have sound, I just cant get it to the amp. Switching off the passthrough from the TV also produces no sound, so I suspect it isn’t even getting to the TV.
Ive posted this over at OSMC but so far no luck, any ideas? and if there is no way to get this working, is there an easy command line way for me to switch the files over to ac3?
Thanks
