(ok let’s try again)
using kodi on raspberry pi2 installed on Raspbian.
getting a lot of choppiness/stuttering on videos stored locally. have no issues with videos that are streamed from internet.
i find if i turn off hardware acceleration the local videos play flawlessly. but i would rather keep it on because if i dont all videos (local files and streamed) freeze up when i try to advance the video a long way.
the locally stored videos were all ripped form DVDs using Handbrake and are in m4v format.
i’ve played around with increasing video cache and other settings but nothing fixes issue. seems it all comes back to the acceleration setting.
the same videos work perfectly if i use my kodi build on libreelec which i am dual booting with Raspbian.
