Newbie. Log viewer help.

Forgive me if I do this wrong, I am quite new at this. For some reason I cannot get castaway, UK Turks, and a few other add-ons to work. I finally downloaded a log viewer, but it may as well be Chinese. Can someone point me in the right direction?
