No video streams start

When I click on a video stream in all kodi add on’s they start to load, the play symbol flashes at the bottom of the screen and then it goes away. Nothing will play. Music streams work just fine. Using the latest version of kodi. This is consistent in all add ons. Any guidance would be great. New to the group but have searched forums before posting. Thanks.
