Hi
I have a 2 year old 250Gb Samsung 850 EVO in my system (along with 2 HDDs), which since ive started streaming is using up writes like mad, as you know SSD’s have limited write cycles, especially the EVO as its a TLC drive – most people only use a couple of Tb a year …well ive jumped to 32Tb in 2 years, BUT Ive only been streaming KODI for about 8 months (every night) – so Ive since reinstalled it onto the HDD in the hope that the stream will be cached there, or will it still write too the system drive?
also I have another question:
I saw a YT video that showed you how to clear cache at KODI boot – is this wise?
Many thanks
