Changing remote functions

I bought a JUSTOP® F20 Air Mouse remote, It does work but some of the keys don’t work as they should. In particular the back key. It’s got a keyboard on the back. Am I right in thinking that if I start changing things on the main remote controller it’ll also start changing the keyboard, meaning that I can’t really fix things?
