G’evening
The MySQL database structure has been topic of discussion for many years. Isn’t it an idea we post some sort of bounty, to get an expert MySQL-dev to design the structure right for once and for all?
My Synology DS2415+ MySQL server with 6GB RAM easily answers tens of thousands of queries / second for my web servers, but for Kodi 400 queries is the average (although I think I once even saw 900). And that is with AMD A10-5700 processors, 8GB of RAM, SSDs and gigabit LAN on HP switches for the HTPC’s with Kodi 16, QoS and not much other traffic on the LAN anyway.
I’d be more than willing to put some money into a pro-dev, because it doesn’t matter how much you try to tweak CPU and RAM in my.cnf in MySQL, it doesn’t work without the right relational database design and the right indexes.
Thank you,
Bye,
