what is the quality of the two deinterlacing methods compared to each other? On RPi2 with LE (Krypton) I use MMAL-Advanced, on my N3150 Intel box I can use VAAPI MCDI. I find the VAAPI-MCDI much sharper and better, but haven’t looked at the RPi for a while in terms of deinterlacing. Were there any progress in this respect?
Btw, in theory, what should these two deinterlacing methods compared to each other be capable of?
I watch LiveTV with TVH, 50Mhz content, SD and HD too.
