So to my knowledge, Stub Files work by displaying your own message when you choose a movie you have stored on DVD/Bluray, but will not work unless you have an optical drive.
In my case, I’ve around 900 dvd and blurays that I have no intention of ripping. So when I pick one of these movies from a my library to play, it will put up a message saying “This is Disc number 567, find this in Folder 2, Page 3” – allowing me to go and quickly retrieve the disc to play.
(I then pop the disc in my actual bluray player to watch)
I’m just about to move from my HTPC to an Nvidia Shield, which does not have an optical drive.
This means all my stubs won’t work now.
I’d like the option of allowing stubs to continue to function even if you don’t have an optical drive please!!
