Win10 x64 Anniversary Update (all updates as of 30-Jan-17), Kodi 16.1, HDMI & Optical connection to Sony receiver (just switched to Optical as HDMI kept switching to 2 channel stereo), then fed via HDMI to SonyTV.
Here’s the scenerio.
Kodi has been playing videos fine. Video ends and nothing is started for awhile. Receiver goes into Standby power mode. You return to watch something else, wake up the receiver. Now, you have to wait a moment for the TV to detect the receiver and switch audio from the TV back to the external speakers. When you start the next video, it’s almost as if the video is in fast forward. It plays fast, and while audio sounds almost normal, you can tell that it is skipping ahead slightly. The only fix is to kill Kodi and restart it.
I can’t tell you what changed as I haven’t updated Kodi when this started, so there must have been some Windows update. Unfortunately I was not actively using it when it started and found out from the family after it had been happening for some time.
Has anyone else experienced this? I am testing tonight to leave a video paused in the hopes it happens, but I think that it’s still sending an audio signal to the receiver, so it will not go into Standby.
