hello …
i have a very odd issue with 3 of my streamers and kodi not appearing as an option on some of them.
on my lolipop streamer kodi appears as a valid option on firefox only, but not chrome (or other browsers i tried )
for chrome vlc and mx player will appear ,but not kodi.
on the kitkat though there is no option for anything but mx player ( which may be a solution) as a choice to open files.
i would point out that at home, while connected via usb ,or via smb, i have no issue seeing and playing even my m2ts files from the video camera.
so basically ..if i can pinpoint my efforts so far…something in kitkat and kodi makes it not see kodi as a viable option for playing the mkv files …be them small as a 4 min lecture or 1 hour.
and .
just to clarify ..not talking about streaming some pirated content or anything of the sort…i would simply like to know if there is a way in kodi running under kitkat that can somehow “trick” the android browser ( chrome or firefox ) , to show kodi as a viable option . ( i really don’t like mx player ) . if you can help me even get my video camera m2ts tricked like that..i would be great.
thank you .
