My Sony TV just auto updated my Kodi Jarvis install to the latest Krypton release. With that update came a whole bunch of issues. One of the most annoying is that it is no longer able to play MKV files, The file contains a video stream encoded in MPEG-4p10/AVC/h.264 and an audio stream in DTS-ES.
I end up with a black screen. It seems that the file loads but just displays a black screen. If I fast forward through the file and the press pause it will show the video frame for that specific time but will not play the video or audio.
I did not have any issues with these files in the previous version of Kodi. Is this a known issue that has a fix coming down or is there a new setting that I need to check?
Thanks.
