Avoid movies stored on external drives being removed from data base after scrapi

I have some external USB hard disks I store the movies, series on which are connected when need be, e.g. to watch a movie. When Kodi scrapes the movies, series the videos on the drives being not connect obviously are removed form Kodi / its data base. How could I avoid it?
