I just have buy my Minix U1 and after I have read a lot of forum, here and on Kodi, no solution for me….
My hardware:
– Switch TP-LINK TL-SG1008D Gigabit
– Intel Core I5-3570 with Windows10 pro 64bits (8gb ram)
with a lot of external Hard disk
and particulary one here : My book
– B-BOX 3 Proximus
– Synology DiskStation DS 413J
– Synology DiskStation DS 414J
– Minix U1 with
-XBMC for Minix version 13.0
-Kodi Krypton version 17.0
– Sony Bravia LCD KDL40EX402
– ONKYO HT-S3800_B BLK
Ok I can access by ethernet at My 2 Synology (No problem)
But 
to acces at my PC !!
I share my folder, I do a Homegroup, all what is possible to let extern acces at my PC but…
Like de Wiki of Kodi say, Homegroup, or like for W8.1, sharing sprecial, or even doing a registry key for lanmanserver specially….

I use XBMC of origin, and I try too with Kodi Krypton,
add source, …, SMB, …, Username, password , …
adress like /PC-Jason777/Users/jason777/Downloads
IP adress… = 192.168. …..
It seems to appear and I enter in to see if Minix see all, in the folder, but when I return back, all is erased…
I CANNOT use my PC on SMB ethernet !
I already read all the post of that in the FAQ, in the forum but Nothing, I don’t understand because when I open de Explorer in the Minix, ES explorer, I enter in the PC, I see all what I want and after I click on a media and it works on MPC-HC and after I try on XBMC and…. and … It works !!!!
I already try
No debug log as my Kodi or XBMC are on a Minix U1 …
