I recently added “.$R.$H.$J” to my file pattern (both movies and series) so the filename tells me what resolution / quality the file has, which is great so far.
Even better yet would be if the filename also told me what languages the audio streams have (as long as that information is saved in the file).
$5 => Audio languages, unknown tracks: “und” (followed by a space, a dot or a hyphen to change the separator)
$6 => Audio languages, unkown tracks skipped (followed by a space, a dot or a hyphen to change the separator)
Which would result in something like “en” or “en-fr-de”. Unknown Tracks could either be skipped or maybe be replaced by “und” for undefined – this would make it easier to find all files with undefined languages to rename them manually.
Another thing I have noticed is that for some resolutions (example: 480×352), $R don’t result in “352p” but in “SDp” which seems weird to me. If that is on purpose, ignore this remark
