Genres Incorrect on NextPVR Recordings in Kodi

I’m using nextPVR as my back end server and the nextPVR addon in Kodi. The Kodi program guide shows correct genres for all tv shows listed. However, nextPVR recordings in Kodi always show the genre to be “Other”. Interestingly when I view recording’s information directly in nextPVR, the genres are correct.
Has anyone who has experienced this problem found a solution?
