Android box

Hi guys, I’m trying to re install kodi onto my android box and its not working. I’ve tried downloading kodi onto my box and once it has downloaded it won’t allow me to open the files. I’ve also tried through google play but that’s saying it isn’t compatible with my device. Any help will be appreciated.
