Sharing Library across two machines.

Guys,

I have a main HTPC (in the home theater), running Kodi v17 “Krypton”. This machine has hard drives which store all my media (Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc.).

I have another HTPC (in the bedroom). I installed Kodi on it – exact same version as my main HTPC – and I’m trying to share Libraries from the main HTPC so I don’t have to re-scrape or manage two libraries.

I’m trying to use the UPnP method. I’ve gotten as far as being able to add the the main HTPC Video FIles as Video Source, however, I can’t figure out how to show them as a Movie Library, just like I have it setup on my main HTPC. I can go into Video -> Files and browse to the UPnP source & see all my movies, but I can’t get it into the
“Movies” section.

I don’t see my “TV Shows” from the main HTPC either.

I know there is a MySQL way to do this, but I’m trying to avoid that as I’m not sure I can pull it off.

Hoping someone can help!!

Thanks!
