Seems Kodi 17 will not install on my Windows 7 Pro x64 HTPC. I was running the final version of 16 just fine and went to update to 17. Now when I try to start Kodi I get a windows app crash claiming “Kodi.exe” and it also lists kernelbase.dll. I tried to reinstall with elevated privilege but that does the same thing trying to start the program with or without elevated privileges. I just performed a clean install on my work pc, that also runs Windows 7 x64 Pro, and that works fine and Kodi 17 launches. Intel bases i7 while my HTPC is an AMD APU setup that’s run flawless. Only thing different is the HTPC had a previous Kodi 16 version, while the Intel pc did not. So I figured I’d try a clean install, but left my profile info in tact. That failed with another app crash as well. Kodi 17 won’t start on this machine…arggg. Anyone have an idea?
