Harmon Kardon Receiver not showing Kodi box

Hi – I have a Harmon Kardon AVR151. when i plug my HDMI from the Kodi box into – it is not showing up- TV screen is black. The Kodi Box runs and can be viewed when plugged directly into my TV though. Does anyone have any suggestions?
