Hi,
I’m currently running Krypton on a rpi3 and having issues with live streams. They are slow to fill cache and causing buffering for the first 30 seconds or so when the stream is first opened. After the initial cache fills they are running flawlessly.
I have tried editting the advanced settings xml and have the following:
<advancedsettings>
<cache>
<buffermode>1</buffermode>
<readfactor>20</readfactor>
<memorysize>139460608</memorysize>
</cache>
</advancedsettings>
Unfortunately this hasn’t made a difference. It appears the cache is not filling the RAM as it is meant too. There is no change in ram usage.
This is happening across all live streaming links I am trying to use. Mainly a supplied free to air channel from my country but also across youtube live streams.
Also, would it be possible to cache to an USB drive rather than the sd card as I feel this may provide faster write results than using an SD card through the rpi?
Thanks
