I was running Kodi through a Media/Gaming PC attached my Amp which was then connected to my 1080p TV and all was working fine. Then I got a new 4K TV and as my Amp isn’t 4K ready I had to connect it directly to the TV and this is where I started to run into problems.
While the interface fits the screen perfectly when playing videos I’m getting blackbars on content that shouldn’t have black bars when set to normal. They aren’t as big as when watching a movie in 2:39:1 but its about an inch at the top and bottom. Only fix is to switch Strecth 16:9 but that then ruins content thats supposed to have black bars. Ive gone through the calibration and everything is as it should be.
Does anyone have any ideas of whats causing this and what I can do to resolve it as I really don’t want to be manually switching everytime, I want the content to display in the format that its supposed to
