HELP! Kodi 17.0 won’t load

New to this forum. Please be patient. I use KODI on my Amazon Fire Stick. I just got thru updating KODI from version 16.1 to 17.0. However, now when I select the Kodi application from the main menu, it loads the intro logo page and then goes black and eventually kicks back out to the Amazon home page. I have tried doing a “force stop” on the Kodi application and I have also tried unplugging the FS for a while (30 seconds) and rebooting. It still will not load! I have done my part by searching google all night long trying to resolve the issue but nothing is working. PLEASE HELP!
