I don’t post often (by that I mean never), so hello, I’m Rizaki Koizumi. You can call me Riz for short.
Anyways, I’ve been using Kodi 17. Feels solid, I like the new skin, though I prefer Guilouz’s mods of Estuary. One thing I have been noticing with Kodi 17, with the “adjust display refresh rate” turned on (on start/stop setting) is that it’s been changing the refresh rate much more frequently compared to Kodi 16. Example, if video is 30fps and refresh is at 60hz, it’ll stick, but if the video is 29.97fps and refresh rate at 60hz, it falls back to 59.94hz (Windows sees it as 59hz, normal behavior, Kodi still says 60.00Hz in system information screen, not sure what to believe here).
I am aware Kodi got some upgrades with the video player, so idk if this is normal behavior or if these are potential bugs. I wanna wrap my head around this and figure out what’s going on and what I can do to fix it. I use the refresh rate adjust setting for movies so I can enjoy smooth 24hz playback, but watching content encoded at 29.97fps, this is getting annoying.
So, anyone willing to help out?
