How do I make my discart appear in front of movie poster in view.xml

I have managed to locate the discart control within my view xml but I cant seem to get it to appear in front of my poster, I have tried moving the control down within the xml made no difference.. How is the layer order of images determined within the xml…Any help greatly appreciated……….
