So basically I need an upgrade as my old intel hardware is now being used elsewhere, I originally went with rpi3 but to be honest it’s incredibly slow gui wise using Titan skin + a large library, it’s hangs a lot navigating, struggles to scroll through posters and even the audio skips when playing in the background. Plus it doesn’t really do a great job with SD interlaced broadcast content.
I’d stick with intel but ideally i’d like something that can handle my kodi needs and be used for prime, youtube, netflix etc etc all under one interface such as the wetek. But I have a few questions about the wetek hub/core that hopefully someone can answer:
- Is the deinterlacing under android as good as intel’s on librelec
- Hows the general picture quality vs intel for sd/hd, can it use HQ scalers
- Can it run tvheadend or similar under android
- Is it as fast as intel for gui e.g. scrolling through 1000+ posters
- Can it use an MCE remote for android
- Can you use external HDD’s
