i’ve the same problem that i had on ubuntu 14.04 a year ago: when i start my htpc when the tv is off i have a black screen. when i power on the tv first all is ok. on ubuntu 14.04 i could fix that problem with this how to http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=…id1824527. now i want to install a fresh lubuntu 16.04 and i’ve the problem again. unfortunately the how to doesn’t work anymore. is there something changed in grub in the meanwhile? i couldn’t find a solution in the net. it seems nobody has this problem or nobody doesn’t use ubuntu 16.04 for that.
