Damaged mxq pro 4K tv box

I have a newly purchased mxq pro 4K tv box which was used for only one week before it refuses to work now. Lights no longer show when connected to electricity. It was discovered that electric power surge has damaged the box. A few minutes after being connected to electricity the box starts getting hot. I live in Nigeria a nod the box was purchased late November on eBay. Is the box repairable? Can it be repaired here? Or what would you advise I do? Thanks
