Kodi making clicking sounds & unable to select any options

Kodi making clicking sounds unable to select any options.
when I open kodi the select tools moves from one option to another
without human intervention!
last log read:

and an early the same day reads:
Thread 1772 (process 3896)

I have no idea what this could mean.
