Cause and Solution
Since Kodi 17B4 on Fire TV1 (FireTV Stick 2 is OK)
Fire OS 5.05 to currunt version
Kodi 17B4 to Current nightly
Symptom
When switching in and out of KODI to Fire TV UI the HDMI drops out and there is a long period with a blank screen.
Also when switching screen resolution from the system setting even though switching to the same resolution.
Cause
Switching screen resolution unnecessarily.
Solution
Change code so when switching screen resolution a check is made to see if the new rsolution is different to the current resolution. If it is don’t call for a switch.
Comment
It is unusual in android for the screen resolution to be anything other than the native resolution.
