Have my HTPC send a video signal instead of a PC signal to my TV?

Hello everyone,

I am currently struggling with my TV (Samsung KS7000) ‘forgetting’ my picture settings I set up for my HTPC. I have my HTPC connected to my Marantz NR1606 next to a Xbox One. The AVR is then connected to the TV. But whenever I switch the source to HTPC my TV recognizes it as ‘PC’ (which of course is correct), I then have to relabel it to BluRay (giving it a name like ‘HTPC’ or ‘Kodi’) in order to set up the picture properly (otherwise settings like HDR+ are greyed out). This works so far but when switching to Live TV, then Xbox One and then to HTPC again the TV forgets the settings and sets it back to ‘PC’.

My HTPC is a Q1900 SoC running a Intel HD onboard GPU. Is there any way to have my HTPC saying ‘I am not a PC but a simple video source! Don’t treat me like a PC!’?

I appreciate any hint! It’s really exhausting to relabel the source whenever I want to watch a movie. Sad

Thanks in advance.
