A while ago, I created a smart playlist based on a random selection of my music library, some genre filtering and a limit of 250 to speed up the creation (running on a Raspberry Pi 2).
This used to work fine, but when I used it yesterday I only got a selection of artists starting with an A. The only way to fix this was to remove the 250 entries limit but this makes it very slow to start.
Is this possibly related to the 17.1 update “Add limiter on random songs which should prevent large memory usage on big libraries” ?
For me, it makes the performance much slower and my library isn’t that big with about 14.000 songs.
As far as I know, there isn’t an advanced settings to disable this feature, but maybe this can be accomplished in another way?
