Skin Helper Service Error..Please Help

The “Skin Helper Service Error” has been popping up quite frequently upon startup & other random times. Some shortcut thumbs are missing from home menu & I am unable to re-add them. This seems like it started happening out of nowhere. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
